JANESVILLE---Mary S. Maynard, age 55, of Janesville, died on Monday, October 6, 2008, at Don & Marilyn Anderson Hospice, Fitchburg. She was born in Janesville on Sept. 6, 1953, the daughter of Roman J. and Lillian (Linzmeyer) Worachek, Sr. She graduated from Parker High School in 1971, and attended UW Whitewater. Mary married Bruce Buggs in 1974 and later married Dale Maynard in 1981. She had been employed by the US Post Office for many years and Walgreens for the past 3 years. She was a member of the Elks Club, bowling league at Black Bridge Bowl, enjoyed puzzles, dancing, the beach, sisters weekend, gardening and socializing. Mary especially loved being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her 4 children: Michelle (Kenny) Derrick of Houston, TX, Jeff Buggs of Janesville, Cory (Lisa) Buggs of Somerset, KY and Thomas Maynard of Madison; 2 grandchildren, Lane and Drew Derrick of Houston, TX; 10 brothers and sisters: Roman "Red" Worachek of Janesville, Michael (Vicki) Worachek of Platteville, Geraldine "Geri" (John) Mann of Orland Park, IL, Diana (Phil) Tripke of Cottage Grove, John (Laura) Worachek of Janesville, Janine Pomije of Rock Island, Carla (David) Speer of Hainesville, IL, James Worachek of Janesville, Donald Worachek of Hamel, MN and Margaret "Marni" (Douglas) Sanchez of Draper, UT; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 nephews, Ryan Tripke and Ryan Calkins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at EMMANUAL FREE METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at Emmanual Free Methodist Church.
