MILTON--- George A. Atwood, age 50, of Milton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at home. He was born in Fort Atkinson on Oct. 4, 1959, the son of Eugene and Anna (Eben) Atwood. He had been employed as an electrician by IBEW Union. George enjoyed the outdoors, biking and hiking.
He is survived by his 3 sisters: Linda (Tom) Madsen of Evansville, Karen (Robert) Highsmith of Marshall and Janice Atwood of Fort Atkinson; 3 nieces: Christina (friend, Pete Dunphy) Madsen, Krista (Eric) Maynard and Andrya (friend, Justin Moore) Coutts; 3 nephews: Tom Madsen, Tim (Teresa) Madsen and Matthew (Kristen) Coutts; and 12 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with George’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial will take place in the North Oakland Cemetery, Jefferson County, WI. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, Janesville, is assisting the family.
