AVALON--- Kenneth A. Fletcher, age 66, of Avalon, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at home. He was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 12, 1943, the son of Kenneth W. and Mabel (Wiedman) Fletcher. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1961. Ken had been employed by General Motors, JATCO, SSI, bartended, and was the owner of The Short Stop Restaurant in Darien. He loved to fish, and followed the Brewers and the Packers.
Ken is survived by his 4 children: Tricia (Ryan) Wiedmer of Janesville, Kenny and Adam Fletcher of Avalon and Jeffrey (Lisa) Fletcher of Lacey, WA; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan Wiedmer; and 2 brothers, Robert (Vicki) Fletcher of Avalon and Arthur Fletcher of Darien. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dwain Fletcher.
A Funeral Service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
