Guestbook for George S. Parker Showing 1 - 6 of 6 entries.

Dear George and dear Parker family:

I just received the message about your father's death and I am saddened . Over decades he had shown interest in my field and our activities here at Brown. He was at the same time a wonderful patron with whom one could have an interesting conversation about archaeology---- and a very, very kind person.

George, Betsy, Martha and Patty,

I was so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. What a great man. He was so wonderful and made me feel like part of your family those summers when we went to Dairyman's.

My thoughts are with you all!

George was a pleasure to meet and avid historian who could speak about early U.S. life as if he lived through it. We will miss both his retrospective and prospective viewpoints.

We were all very saddened to hear of Mr. Parker's passing and we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to his family. We will miss seeing him and we will also greatly miss our Wednesday morning chats at his home on Marco Island. It was a pleasure knowing him.

Sincerely, Terry, Jim, Lori & Jimmy Archer

My sympathies to the Parker and Jeffris families. George was a very friendly man. He'd always say hello by name when he'd ride by on his bicycle. His leadership in the Company and the community will be remembered by us all.
