I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. My son was lovingly watched by Ginger and Gary for years and I always loved to see how the children were so happy. They were great people. My prayers are with everyone in the family.

Our family is so sorry for your loss. Our kids; Jamie, Jacklyn, and Mikey were lovingly watched by Ginger and Gary for many years. They are so sad to hear of the loss.
Our Jamie wrote a story about the days in the little blue house on Huron Street. It was an English project, and it brought not only an "A" but brought back many amazing memories. They both taught our children such wonderful things.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

Gary was an amazing guy with a big heart. He always had a story to tell. He was our cafes favorite visitor, here at the hospital. He always put a smile on my face when I would see him rollin in because I knew I would get one of his famous hugs :) He touched everyone he met and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and everyone else here at the Mercy Cafe are with your family at this hard time God Bless

I was glad to have been there with my dad, holding his hand, all week last week. He would hold our hands and rub his thumb against our hand. He knew we were there. I was in the room when I took a moment to close my eyes and rest on the couch in the hospice room. I startled awake to the lack of hearing his breathing, which was just minutes after 5 pm on Friday. I went over to see him motionless and still wasn't prepared to accept what was I was seeing. I called the nurse into the room immediately and she confirmed he was gone. We sat in the room, Paul and I, alone, for ten minutes, just absorbing what had just happened. Our father was gone. It takes awhile for that to sink in. We we fortunate to be at Hospice--what an outstanding facility, where the Sister Georgeanne came into the room with Paul and I after the nurse had cleaned up Dad and prepared his body to be transported to Schneiders, and Sister Georgeanne said a wonderful version of the Serenity prayer, with Paul and I resting our hands upon our father, releasing him towards his next destination. And so it is... he is at peace.
